Career Highlights

Leon’s professional experience has included some landmark projects. Early in his career, he cut his teeth on documentary filming with German TV network ZDF, shooting on location at the White House and Capitol Hill. Years later, he had graduated to coordinating and running the live video at Bill Clinton’s Inaugural Ball in 1992. There have been countless musical projects, including a three-year run making live video magic at RFK Stadium, contracting and directing a five-camera crew and live Jumbotron feeds for such household names as the B-52s, Iggy Pop, Primus, the Go-Gos, Tony Bennett, INXS, the Ramones, the Simple Minds, and many more. From running sound at A-list fundraising benefits to coordinating multi-camera video shoots for such events as the Civil Rights Awards, Leon has a rare depth of experience.

In a career that spans over three decades, an audio/visual professional is likely to work a lot of different venues. That means different gear. Different personalities. Different things that can potentially go wrong. Leon has been there, done that. Over time, his hit list has grown to include a very long list of D.C. bars and clubs, from Hammerjacks’ 40,000-watt PA system to the venerable Warner Theater. His corporate A/V experience includes gigs at every major hotel in the capitol—from the Washington Hilton to the Ritz Carleton—and every major convention center. And don’t get him started on the jobs he has done for universities and schools, museums, government buildings, and more. With a background like this, Leon clearly has the experience to handle just about any situation.
